The weather is perfect to relax on the porch with one of my special martinis—I call this one the “Lime-opolitan”,
(my secret recipe is below!)

Before you start mixing,
let’s talk home design!
One of the services I offer is
room planning and layouts.

Do you have one of those crazy rooms in your home with an odd shape, size or architectural feature that makes no sense? This room is octagonal with windows on 7 sides and high ceilings. It is located off of a family room and not suitable for a breakfast room or dining area.

I worked up a plan for it to be used as sunny place to read or play a board game. I sparsely furnished it and softened the room with a few plants.

The design you are looking at is 100%computer generated and conceptual only!
Kathy Corbet Interiors can make it a reality!

Now it is time to mix your “Lime-opolitan”!
I suggest enjoying it with a healthy snack, see my recommendation below!
Sip,
enjoy and
consider the possibilities for your “odd” rooms!

LIME-OPOLITAN

Cosmo sugar rimmer—available at Love of Chocolate in Carytown or other specialty shops
1 small wedge of lime

2 oz citron vodka
1 oz orange flavored liqueur such as Cointreau or Citronge
2 oz limeade
1 oz cranberry juice

Prepare your martini glass by wetting the rim with a small wedge of lime; dip the rim in the cosmo sugar. The sugar should stick nicely to the rim.
Mix the ingredients in a shaker filled with ice.
Shake vigorously and pour.

Figs & Gorgonzola
Fresh figs, sliced about 1/8 thick
Add a small piece of gorgonzola to the top and secure with a toothpick
