Chesapeake Style

What an incredible work of art on the over mantle at the Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michaels, Maryland! The Chesapeake Bay captured in it's entirety in a 6' x 8' area!

On the opposite side of the room we find an amazing breakfront painted a high gloss white with unique fretwork and oversized finials. There are dark wood beams and an iron lantern glowing in the high ceiling, all subtly mimicked by the the gentle illumination of the oyster plate collection.

The horizontal plank wainscot was painted in a high gloss, while the wall behind was a flat finish. The rough wood and smooth walls were emphasized by this use of finishes.
