It Is All For Our Dogs!

LOVE YOUR HOME

We love our dogs. My dog Scout rules the roost. We have rearranged our lives and our furniture for her.

I have had a lot of fun placing dog themed items in my client’s homes.

A DOG LOVER’S POWDER ROOM

These intelligent and sophisticated dogs have dressed in their formal English costumes to be framed for the walls. A hand painted dog food bin conceals the extra rolls of tp.

DOGS AND THEIR PAW PRINTS

A hand blocked linen print called “Calvin & Lewis” is dressed up with beads for the family office; the “Pitter Patter” paw print lines the cascade.

“Pitter Patter” and “Calvin & Lewis” in blue as throw pillows.

CANINE FOOT REST

I love these rascals on this gentleman’s footstool.

BOW WOW!

A vinyl dog head chair. I would like to make a traditional version of this printed on linen with an antique velvet seat and gimp trim.

Fashion or The Home!?

CONFLICT IN THE HOME

Remember that great looking dress I wore to my anniversary party?
You know, the one my sister bought for me in Paris?
Well guess where I found that print? TARGET!

And no, it was not a dress it was a lampshade, an accent table and a few vases. Now I can wear the dress and blend in like a chameleon. Just think, I could have put that lampshade on my head at the end of evening.

So really, this is how it works. Some style guru at Target found the dress on a trend shopping trip in Europe. They gave it to the Target design team where a designer from home furnishings snapped it up and ran off to China to have the print put on home accessories.

It is a great dress, the print is fabulous. I am kind of annoyed but I can’t blame them.
