New Rules for Setting The Table

THE ENDLESS SEARCH

Earlier this spring I spent some time in Holland. My daughter was invited to represent the US on a sailing team and her lucky mother was her chaperone. While she was floating around, I made my way to Delft, Leiden, Amsterdam and the Hague.

Dutch design is unique. There is a whole different way of looking at how to do things. The next time you entertain consider 2 new ideas for the table.
Forget the rule of fork on the left, spoon on the right!

Get enough runners to lay them across the table in place of 2 place mats.

This has nothing to do with table settings but could be inspirational for how to attractively stack the dirty pots after cooking:

A pot man in Amsterdam? Imagine that! (Actually this was in Delft!)
